About the event
Join us to the Cultivated Meat Open Event. The event is organized by the Cultivated Meat Consortium, led by Tnuva, funded by the IIA and is accompanied by GFI..
The opening session of the event will be chaired by Shay Cohen, CultivatedMeat Consortium Chairperson, Chief Innovation & Corporate Venturing Officer, and Managing Director @Tnuva Ventures. He will be followed by Dr. Ami Appelbaum, Chief Scientist and Chairman of the Board of the Israel Innovation Authority. Alla Voldman, Vice President at The Good Food Institute Israel that will discuss about Cultivated meat & Alternative proteins- The state of the industry. Gaya Savyon, Consortium Technical Manager, will provide us with an overview of the consortium.
The technical session of the event will be opened by Dr. Roni Rak from the Volcanic Institute, who will present on utilizing CRISPR methodology to develop cell lines for investigating the impact of cultured meat growth condition on cellular proliferation and differentiation. The session will also include presentations on Scaffolds by Prof. Oded Shoseyov and Dr. Shlomzion Shen, Co-Founder & CEO Seevix. Growth Factors and Media technology will be discussed by Dr. Jonathan Eran, VP R&D BioBetter, and Prof. Ofra Benny, School of Pharmacy, The Hebrew University. Additionally. Dr. Jonathan Giron, Reichman University, and Dror Livne, MGT Industries Ltd., will present on bioreactor technology.
Lastly, two leading Cultured Meat companies, Supermeat and Aleph Farms, will present various aspects of cultured meat production components evaluation, by Dr. Yuval Nash and Dr. Neta Lavon.
Coffee and lunch snacks will be served, providing an opportunity for attendees to network and engage in discussions with the presenters.
